Reviews the book, Reset: My Flight for Inclusion and Lasting Change by Ellen K. Pao (2017). Hall describes this book as a well-written account of Pao’s experiences in exposing rampant race and sex discrimination in the technology business world. Although is not a psychologically based book, it is imperative reading for professional women of color to confirm the reality of discriminatory treatment in the workplace. In addition, it is an excellent book for psychologists to understand the effects of discrimination on a talented, hardworking woman of color. Hall believes that with Pao’s help, we are at least past the point of being surprised when we hear similar stories as Pao’s. Women of color no longer need to question that they are alone in their discriminatory workplace experiences and never need to ask whether this happened to #YouToo?
