Russia’s Version of #MeToo Has Struggled to Take Off – Until Now

For the last 10 days, thousands of Russians have flooded social media with new hashtags to challenge sexual harassment and violence against women. On July 16, Twitter users started posting their experiences of sexism and sexual harassment using the #Ð¼Ð½Ðµ_Ð½ÑƒÐ¶Ð½Ð°_Ð³Ð»Ð°ÑÐ½Ð¾ÑÑ‚ÑŒ (I Need Openness, or I Need Public Attention).
